Privacy Policy

Jet Wash Seal Window Cleaning is run by Pete Lewis as a sole trader (“I”, “me” or “my”) and operates https://jetwashseal.co.uk (“the Site”). I am responsible for the personal data described here. This privacy policy explains how I collect, use and protect your personal data when you use the Site or my services.

1. Information I Collect
I may collect the following types of personal information:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Home address (for service purposes)
  • Any details you submit via the contact form or by text/email

I may also collect technical data such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Time and date of visit
  • Pages viewed (via Google Analytics, if you accept statistics cookies)

2. How I Use Your Information
I use your information to:

  • Respond to enquiries or quote requests
  • Schedule and carry out work, and arrange access
  • Send reminders (on request or to arrange access), invoices and follow-up messages about work I’ve done
  • Send existing customers occasional text messages about relevant services or offers (see below)
  • Improve my website using analytics, if you’ve agreed to it

I may contact you by phone, text or email, depending on your preferences.

Promotional texts
If you’re an existing customer, I may occasionally send you a text message about services or offers I think are relevant to you. I don’t send marketing emails. You can opt out at any time: just reply to say so, or let me know, and I won’t send you any more. Opting out won’t affect your regular cleans.

3. Referrals and Business Transfers
If I am unable to take on a job, I may ask for your permission to pass your contact details to a trusted local contractor.

If Jet Wash Seal Window Cleaning is sold or transferred, customer information may be shared with the new operator. I will make sure that your data remains protected and is used for service continuity only.

4. Cookies
Without your consent, the Site only sets the cookies it needs to work, such as remembering your cookie choice. If you accept, it also uses Google Analytics cookies to see how visitors use the Site, and shows a Google Maps map on the Contact page, which can set Google’s own cookies. Nothing optional is used until you accept it in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of every page. You can also block cookies in your browser settings.

5. Security
I take data security seriously and use reasonable methods to safeguard your information. However, no system can be 100% secure, and you use the Site at your own risk.

6. Third-Party Services
The Site uses Google Analytics (only if you accept statistics cookies), Google Maps on the Contact page (only if you accept) and Trustindex, which shows my Google reviews. When the reviews load, your browser connects to Trustindex’s servers, and reviewers’ profile pictures load from Google, so both receive your IP address in order to deliver them. The reviews don’t set cookies on the Site. Messages sent with the contact form are emailed to me.

7. Your Rights
You can:

  • Request access to the data I hold about you
  • Ask for your data to be corrected or deleted
  • Opt out of promotional texts at any time
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, although I’d appreciate the chance to put things right first

8. Updates to This Policy
This policy was last updated in October 2026. I may update it from time to time. Any major changes will be posted on the Site.
